![]() ![]() Just as you say though, it takes a while to get going. It's potentially in my top 10 SNES games and definitely in my top 20. Once it gets going, its one of the best action epgs ive ever played. At first money is scarce and not too many weapons are available to you. Its honestly generic synth techno, and orchestral pieces, that dont come close to the level of Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger. They got Mitsuda and Umatsu to compose the music, and it doesnt seem like it at all. The music is honestly underwhelming for the people working on it. It helps that the graphics are also top notch, moving your mech is so cathartic. Giant mechs, explosions, floating around shooting, stuff like that. Then the actual fighting pretty much plays like Cybernator. Theres so much to play around with, its very detailed. You spend a good amount of time in menus, customizing your mech, exploring different weapon combinations, buying ammo and new weapons, etc. Some of the scenes are genuinely shocking and are presented pretty well. This kind of stuff being on a SNES cartridge is incredible. ![]() Not many characters are just evil for being evil. People kill each other for survival, they kill for revenge for the death of their loved ones, etc. The main appeal of the story is its exploration of the gray area of war. The main thing that caught me off gaurd is the story. I'm making this post because I can't find many threads of people talking about it. Thank you /u/SNESdrunk for the recommendation ![]()
